In April we won a tough, hard fought race for Assembly. We won because we ran a campaign about people. We had over 100 active volunteers in West Anchorage and over 500 active contributors to our campaign. We talked to over 5,000 people in West Anchorage at their doors, and many more on facebook and through email. We made respecting the people in our community our number one priority.
Thank you so much to everyone who played a part in our victory on April 5th!
Since the election, I have continued to focus on people. I have met with municipal employees, administrators, contractors, community council leaders, citizen groups, and my fellow assembly members. My goal is to build trust, expand lines of communication, and get a community-wide perspective on how we can improve on what we have. We face important challenges, including transportation upgrades in Spenard, Sand Lake, and Turnagain, protecting our public school system, and restoring the values of respect and communication to City Government.
Please get in touch. Together, we can build a stronger community in Anchorage!
